Chef Bill Baker is the proprietor of Chef's
Galley. He has cooked, catered, and taught culinary skills in
restaurants, country clubs, taverns and sailboats in Los
Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Ohio, Florida, and the Bahamas for over
25 years. He has a bachelors degree in Political Science from
Ohio University and a master of education degree from the
University of Toledo. He previously taught history and coached
ice hockey, as well as cooked and catered, before deciding to
pursue his passion for cooking full time in a non-restaurant
situation that no longer involves 16 hour workdays.
Chef Bill has attended and given numerous cooking classes over
the years. With his education background, he especially enjoys
sharing his love of cooking with others. His most rewarding food
experience was in Los Angeles, where he was the only American in
an European Bistro.
Chef Bill lives back in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio with his
wife Lee Ann, and two Labradors, Harley and Rosemary. He is
Serve Safe food handler certified by the National Restaurant
Association and a member of the American Personal Chef
Association.
